Most often overlooked is the consultation; however, it is the most important procedure. At this time the patient is introduced to the doctor and the staff. A thorough consultation results in establishing a fully informed patient and the reason(s) for the discomfort being experienced by the patient.
The crucial three steps are TO LISTEN, then TO LOOK and finally TO TOUCH---never to be taken out of this order. The initial appointment will always begin with a consultation, followed by a thorough examination and then a diagnosis will be determined. Most of our patients elect to start treatment on the day of their consultation.
